I love this shirt! "Hugs Not Drugs" is something I quote a lot in real life, so to find a shirt with it on is awesomesauce! For those not familiar with the phrase it's an actual US anti-drug slogan from the 60s or 70s, that sounds kinda stupid and dated nowadays (it probably sounded stupid then, too, actually-- who seriously thought that would work?) But it's funny, so I say it. Oh, elaborating on the 'things going my way' thing I was talking about at the start of this entry-- I have been trying to get the skin in this pic from Dimbula Rose for weeks now. It has two skins on the board, and a long wait on the board, so it's kinda difficult to get. In waiting I managed to get all the other skins but the circus skin was eluding me so I gave up last week. So anyway I needed a skin to round off the outfit, and I had a decent one, but then I remembered about the DM skin being pretty pop-y and cute, so I decided to swing by Dimbula Rose just before I started taking the pics of the outfit, and bam-- there was a D on the board with 1 minute left! So, it's funny how things fall together sometimes. Anyway let me take this opportunity to show you a close up of the skin, which I totes love. There are cute star tattoos and things on it too.

This post actually took forever namely thanks to this third picture, where I had all sorts of problems: Firstly posing the KOISADA bag-- it has a limiting script on it that won't even let you attach to other points for some ungodly reason, and killing the script wouldn't work, so I had pose then move the bag to the other hand each time it was in the way. And then I couldn't remember where I'd gotten the earrings/necklace from (it's usually in the mainstore, but I went there and it doesn't have the freebie version) so and I had to retrace my steps sim by sim and tp by tp until I stumbled across it again-- since there were no alternate store locs in the owners picks. Lastly, to make it even even harder, Mother Goose's has redone their main store so it took me a while to find BINI again; though it's not hard to find, it was just something to add to this week's frustration. And to add insult to injury, when taking pics finally, my home sim went down for maintenance-- so I tp'd over to my fave sandbox. And just when I had set up my photobooth over there, and angled the camera correctly, that went down for maintenence too! So I tp'd back to my house and that's when my comp locked up and I lost my current blog post, including the last slurls I had just compiled (for this particular outfit), and I had to do it again. Argh! What should have been an hour to make sure the slurls etc were correct took about four, just for the one picture. I mean it's not a big deal in the grand scheme of things, it was just oddly frustrating how everything was going wrong. It seems to be the picture that didn't want to exist, haha. Anyway at least the result was worth it!

It's My Rez Day!

Kiss Kiss, Cute Cute

Hey Nafashionistas! I actually happened across a store called M+M in my travels last week, while exploring the Koenji sim. It's a great store full of really great outfits. I found four luckyboards in the corner of the store, in a cute little alcove. As I waited for the boards in the span of about two-three days, it was interesting-- because obviously somehow the store hit some freebie list or something-- I began noticing people tping in and nabbing the group gift at the entrance. Somehow most people didn't see or want to wait for the boards, so I don't think they've been featured very much yet-- I hope, at least. Note that the candy blouse has a blousey prim attachment that you can add to your stomach. I thought my outfit looked better with the shirt layer tucked in, so I did it that way.

The other store I happened across is one called !!Kiss Kiss Bang Bang!! which is new to probably only me-- it's the first time I hear of it. It's a freebie/cheapie store, that offers cheap yet well made clothing. I liked it a lot because I find it hard to accessorize well cheaply, and I'm always greatful to happen across low priced accessory stores like this, and Chuculet which I adore. Just note that Chuculet has similar belts for cheaper ($1L vs $5L) compared to !!KKBB!! if you're going to buy any belts-- I bought mine before I realized this. Nevertheless, !!KKBB!! is a great store-- the yellow skirt is actually a really nice dress. I loved it so much I bought all the colors! Also, I was doing a hunt and came across Ronsem which so far has amazing stuff, including a free hair near the hair area inside the store; it's really awesomely made, too. So much so I am considering buying more hair (except I wish they did fatpacks as I don't know which color to buy!)

I adore this dress from !!KKBB!! -- it's my favourite one there, although they have tons of great dresses. And the colors happen to co-incide with this jewelled wing attachment I grabbed from BOOM's luckyboard which I didn't notice last time I visited BOOM. The tattoo I was informed about last week by a friend of CINQ ONZE and I'm glad I checked it out. I don't usually wear tattoos (I would say they're not my style) but I appreciate well made tattoos, and this is both pretty and well made. The skin is a new group gift by Candydoll!

It just seemed to suit this look though, so much so here's a little reminder to go get it. The tank from !!KKBB!! is awesome in my opinion-- there are four colors with different designs on them to get. They actually come with their own frayed jeans, which look really good but I paired it with the shorts from izm. so that I could add the Ronsem shoes to it. The hair I nabbed from the =Feather= luckyboard, and the skin is from a new (to me) place called Sowelu the skin looks so ganguro cute, I love it! I hope you do too!

I know I said I wouldn't blog big events, but it was decidedly empty when I dropped by the Wear Gray charity event earlier this week that I decided that people needed a little reminder to go-- it's for a good cause, and there is also hunt on at the sim; you can buy the grey ribbons hidden in various stores for $20L each and grab some really neat stuff.

Apart from that, I dropped by a store called Halcali, which had this yellow dress which I am totally in love with-- so bright and funky! They also have 50% off the other colors, so check it out now. I also happened across a store called RubisoHo which I had never heard of before-- the luckyboard hair they are giving away is awesomesauce.

So, project Themory's theme this week was 'Back To School' which inspired me to create a cute fuku like school uniform. Oldie But Goodie ♥

I'm participating in the 'Oldie But Goodie' blogging theme that Alysha Rennahan has put up through plurk, and it was a bit of a challenge finding things old enough-- most pre-2008 stuff I've thrown away! But I did find my very first 'good' skin-- 'Scarlet Vanilla' aquired in 2006! I have no idea where or how I got it and the creator says 'newbie_template Linden' But, I'm sure it was never part of the original avatars, as far as I know-- it's not in my library in any case. It's quite featureless by today's standards, but for 2006, it was the prettiest skin I owned. Everything beneath the face is barbie like though. x3 Oh! Remember the one full perm CS skin floating around with the freckles? That one never suited me though, but I rember getting it and giving it to like all my alts!

So, this is one of my first freebie outfits ever-- the hair especially was my first fave hair-- I absolutely adored it and refused to take it off. It was also my first indication that freebies could be as good as the full price stuff-- and that I didn't look any good with the neon pink stilettos with massive bling. Hoo boy. I cringe when I think about how I and other people used to look in SL, and am surprised when I STILL continue to see some people looking slightly that way! There's no excuse now! Ahh! But it's kind of amazing, all these items are 2008 and they still hold up pretty well. I still adore the cardigan from [42] and I still wear it! It goes with everything!

This second outfit is from around 2006-2007 (except the shoes and I think skin) and is comprised of the first things I ever bought in game, ever! Yes, really. This was the first items I ever purchased! The first thing I ever bought was the Kin hair, even before I had a proper outfit! I still love this hair, and I feel the quality of it stands the test of time. Next, the dress was the very first item of clothing I paid for from *tweet* which sadly seems to be defunct now. . I like to think I made good choices as I feel the quality of them are still really relevant today. I remember coveting all their outfits! I felt *tweet* was one of the first creators to bring something different to the table, namely asian fusion fashion that is now so prevalent in SL. At the time, the 'norm' for fashion, was well... whore wear! Ahh! (In some sims, it still is! ) And the UBU shoes, well Gabi blogged them first-- but that reminded me, those UBU shoes were the first pair of shoes I ever bought in game, and the most expensive item I had ever bought at the time! Of course since then I've dropped money quicker than I can earn it!

Little China Girl

Well, I promised to blog today, because I have another day off, and I've been slacking off all day watching the Emerald Viewer Scandal unfold before my eyes, so I'm sorry that it took me so long to blog! I'm up late doing it juuuust for you guys! See how much I love you?

So, today, all the clothing featured comes from a store I stumbled upon one day; Lika Ruby. I was visiting Mikan for their hair, and Lika Ruby is the immediate neighbor of Mikan in Korombei-- I had never come across it before, and it's a delight! Totally worth visiting. Named after it's creator, everything at Lika Ruby has a slight asian flavor; reminiscent of China. The best thing is that there are a ton of freebies! So, first up is the Kunfu I picked up at the Creator's Pavillion store -- there is also a version for guys, so check it out! The rest of the stuff is at their main store. Interestingly, it kinda co-incided with me picking up the gorgeous Amaterasu skin that Pink Fuel has released exclusively for The Circle Project -- I love this skin so much that I even bought it in cocoa-- usually I only buy light tones for Dunneh, but it looked so awesome in dark tones that I just had to have it! Before I go-- a semi-announcement. While it's been the stance of this blog for a long time, I've decided to refocus my blogging efforts and go back to try to only blog uncommons. Which means no BIG sales, no common freebies (if that's possible?), less fairs, less weekly discounts such as FLF, and NO hunts! Yes, really. This isn't to say I won't blog certain things that have been picked up in a hunt, or at a fair or at FLF, -- after all I try to blog things I like and have recently picked up so that you all have a chance to get them too-- but the common items won't be the focus of my entry. I'm still going to do hunts, go to fairs, and check out weekly discounts-- and I will still wear what I like from them, but the items won't be the main feature of my entry, just an addenum or a reminder to pick up the item. I'll always try to feature something you haven't seen at least a dozen times before. I can't promise anything, but I will try my hardest. My reasoning for this is that there are enough bloggers covering big sales, (like TRUTH's for example), and big hunts (such as the Platinum Hunt) as well as big events like Shoe Fair and Hair Fair. Do you really want to see the same item reblogged a thousand million times, in a hundred different ways? And even if you do, do you really want to come to MY crappy blog to see the same hair you've already seen on SL's Fashion Feed? I didn't think so. So, I'm going to go back to basics and find sales and freebies and bargains the old fashioned way-- exploring. Likewise, all the things I blog, I will have found on my own (unless specified otherwise; I will credit if my source is another blog). At least this way you can come to NAF and see something new, hopefully! I mean, there's always a chance someone gets to it before me, we may have discovered the store at a similar time, or it may be an old item I've missed-- after all I've been MIA a year and I really don't check FF and FS every day. So please forgive me if this happens. I'm trying not to do that, and you have my word that I'm actually going out there and finding these places myself though. Lastly, my twitter will still mention stores (any stores, big small, etc) that are having sales so you can check them out-- so please continue to give me tips regarding sales, events and fairs, and I will put them up.

I hate to be a Drama Llama, I really do. But, I'm not sure. SL hasn't been kind to me lately. The thing I was going to blog, (well, part of the outfit), has been nixed again. I have enough time to blog something else, but I thought I'd explain why.

Basically, I found this boho-chic store thanks to one of the sale blogs I follow the other day. It currently has a sale on and everything is at 50L. I bought quite a few cute things from it. To be fair to the store, it has adorable stuff and the owner is very talented. I felt the store was right up my alley. I was going to blog some of it, yes.

Imagine my dismay when I realized the random trolling I received the same day-- whereby I was called a 'weeaboo' (among other things) by some guy and his lackeys, wasn't random. It was associated with my purchases at this store. I didn't even know these people. I had never even met them. But they had gotten my profile somewhere because they knew it before I came in. So I noticed the ties today between these people while trying on the things I bought-- and suddenly it all clicked into place-- the pictures of the griefer match up on the owner's profile. So, no blogging of this store. No more returning to this store. It's really disappointing that the person behind this store has such horrible friends that treat her paying customers this way.

There's soooo many things happening in SL right now, it's crazy. I think three (or more) hunts start today! So the Needle in a Haystack hunt, and the starting point is Holli Pocket. I LOVE HUNTS. But, I can't really participate the way I used to. As I was saying in my other entry-- SL used to be unmetered for me because my ISP had islands in-world, but they they pulled out. As a consequence, SL now counts towards my downloads, and you probably know, it generates at a lot. So I can't play like I used to. My cap is 25gb but there's three of us that share the connection, so, it does tend to add up. So, I don't know if I can go from store to store like I did for the Bunny Hop. I will probably need to just check out the stores I like, and rely on other blogs for info on what's any good. As a consequence I probably won't be blogging the hunts very much. Sorry!

One thing I can do though, is blog about the cute items that Sanu has up for the NIAH hunt, which she kindly put up last night and let us know about. She has a cute skin in there, as well as two mouth-held needles. The other thing I can do, is check out various sales for you; yay! So, MALT is having a sale on everything except her cheapies, and I swung by there today. Very cute things, but I wasn't sure if I wanted anything-- until I saw the jewel dresses! 300L per fat pack! PER FAT PACK! That's seven dresses for 300L! I couldn't pass up that chance, and I LOVE them. I am so happy! I couldn't decide which to feature, so I decided to feature them all. Albero Gatchapon Festival

Well, you'd need to be blind to miss the Gatchapon Festival happening in Albero at the moment. I've been sorting out my inventory (down to 24k now, but I still have a bunch of stuff to unpack! ) and doing little else, and I've still been hearing about it everywhere! So, I decided to check it out today.

For those of you not in the know, a Gatchapon, or Gachapon is a Japanese capsule toy machine. Kind of like the gumball machines, that give candy, or those rubber bouncy ball machines. You put in an amount (it used to be 100Y when I was over there) and get a random chance of getting a neat toy. The great thing about Gatcha is that the Japanese have taken it to a whole new level, offering really great toys any kid (or adult) would want-- making Gatcha's very collectable. I love Gatcha in real life-- and I LOVE them in Second Life, as well. Albero's festival, as I understand it, has invited every vendor on their Albero and Ciccolata sims to participate and offer Gatchapon toys in their machines, with new toys every day! They're not free, but they're very affordable, and super cute to boot -- This is what I've found so far!

So, Artilleri really caught my eye, as she has one of the cutest prizes in the sim! Really cute beach stuff! I spent most of my money there, and luckily got no repeats! I also had a try at Katat0nik's machine-- but SL was being stupid so it ate four of my tries! however, later, I tried again and managed to get a bunch of cute hair and things. So here we go!

The Comeback!

Hello, tis I!

So, earlier this week I found myself with a lot of time on my hands; and slowly, I've been coming in world again. I've got lots of goodies planned for you, already. But fist I'm trying to sort out my 29k inventory! Eeek!

However, my great blogging comeback has been nixed. While writing up my entry, which I was planning to release on Friday, I was sorting out through my folders while sitting atop the roof of one of my beloved stores, and planning the outfits and photos to take. The place in question also had a freebie chair, which is what I was going to blog about.

Apparently, I was being incredibly offensive (!) to the landowner without knowing it. Without insomuch as a hello, or a 'don't stand on the roof, it annoys me'-- they booted and banned me. I didn't realize I was being a nuisance just standing there minding my own business and going through my face lights so I could prep to take pics of the items.

As a consequence, I refuse to blog any of this seller's items. Let's just say you're not missing much. The items on her prize chairs are the same ones she's had three years running. However, they're cute and I used to be a loyal customer of her's before I left SL for a year. Looks like I'll be needing to find something else to blog, so bear with me.

What's happened to me, and whether I'm still around, and what's happened to this blog.

Unfortunately, I've been suffering from bouts of ill-health since around Easter, and I'm only now getting over it all-- now that my work has slowed down a bit. One of the tactics to recovery was to simplify, which included cutting out Second Life 'til I felt a little better, as I couldn't even muster the strength to log on most days.

I'm getting better, but because of the sporadic nature of my playing time, I probably won't be updating the blog very often. I do hope to continue playing Second Life, and I do hope to update periodically, but I can't match the frequency (once a day) of the other fashion blogs out there!

So if you feel especially patient, I hope you stick with me.

That reminds me-- funny story that I forgot to mention in my Bunny Avatar entry. I was wearing my white [Pink Fuel] bunny avatar the other day. I tp'd into a Japanese store, where a girl and boy couple were deep in discussion. As I browsed the shop's wares, I noticed that they were chatting quite animatedly about something-or-other. Seeing as I couldn't understand them, (they were chatting in Japanese) and assuming they weren't talking to me, I wandered into a side room to look at more stuff. As I did, I noticed one of them come behind me. So I scooted to the left. They scooted to the left. So I waddled into the other room again. They walked up behind me. I turned on my little bunny heel, and bolted into the room I came from. The chase was on! The pair followed suit, running up behind me. I turned tentatively, fear in my eyes as they cornered me in the store. "Why are you following me? ^^;" I cried, esasperated, my little heart racing. "Did I do something wrong?"
A pause.
"w.w You're not Japanese ?" The boy said.
"No. Sorry. I don't understand." I scratched my little head.
"We follow you," he said, "Because you are so cute! ^.^!"
"Oh" I laughed, "Is that all! What a relief. I was scared. o.o"

They went back to their chatting, and me to my browsing, and as I left I waved my bunny paw and said "Goodbye! Goodbye my new big-friends!"

Hello! Yet another post on Bunny Hop Items You May Have Missed (But Probably Haven't)! For the time impaired-- hopefully between my blog and the others, you should have a good idea of what you might like to grab before the hunt is over. (The 14th I think).

Another cute maid picture with an abundance of flowers, It's starting to become a habit for me. I suppose it's a good thing, because I don't really see a lot of blogs with a cutesy sweet lolita angle like mine. Although, my sense of style is all over the place, really! Hello all! My entries about the Bunny Hop Grid-Wide Hunt continue. This is a very special bilingual post for you all! I, unfortunately am still feeling sick, and I have a fever-- so I didn't go to work today. So I decided to search for a very cute cafe to take pictures at, and I happened upon a place called *Y's HOUSE! It is such a very cute place, and the owners; yacchan Clip and shimako Bade and their friend, UrikoH, made me feel most welcome. They were very gracious and kind towards me, even though they did not speak english, they tried very hard to talk to me even though I was maybe annoying them! x3 Thank you! I'm sick! I don't know what happened to me after I posted last night, but I got a stabbing sore throat, and in 24 hours I am now one of the congested. Ugh. So, between work and the Bunny Hop grid-wide hunt, I haven't had any time to blog! I'm sorry! I managed to finish the hunt yesterday though, and sort through everything today. And I'm going to be slack and feature the hunt the next few days, because I took a peek at my schedule this week and it's crazy busy again so I can't go out bargain-hunting. Don't they know I'd rather play SL all day? So anyways, I usually don't participate in hunts because they take a lot of time and are frustrating (if you don't find X egg you can't move on to the next store -.-), and some rewards can be less than stellar. However, the Bunny-Hop was a level of quality all it's own, and it's really worth doing! Not only that, it ran pretty well, with most designers being kind about where they 'hid' their egg.

I adore this piggy! I already raved about [Pink Fuel]'s adorably Bunny Avatar in my previous entry, which is also generously included in the [PF] egg. But Piggeh! I love him! He's so cute and little and and and... his little eyes go 'wobble wobble' at you. T-T And I identify with his little backstory, which is that of a little lonely piggy who wanted to be accepted by the springtime bunnies and duckies. So he decides to buy a bunny suit in order to fit in with them, hoping they won't notice he is just a lil piggy. But when they see him, they laff at him something dreadful; and so he is a very sad little piggy. Aww. But it's okay little piggy! I know exactly how you feel! You are my bestest friend! T-T I will luff joo for evers!

Also, the quality of hunt items is amazing. The Wretched Dollies dress is so amazingly pretty. It also has a plain apron to go with it, without the bunny on it. And the Waka&Yuki hair is my favourite yet. The egg actually contains two shades of brown. I'm showing the darker one. And as always, Lano Ling of Poetic Colors has outdone himself. It's been an overwhelming few days! Firstly, unless you've been living under a rock, you would know about the Bunny Hop gridwide hunt going on right now, which is pretty much the biggest event since the Christmas hunt. Unfortunately, I've gone over my downloads this month and my net has been slowed to dialup speed, which basically means that I can't even touch my nose in SL without the client timing out. I've been 'borrowing' (I fully intend to give it back! ¬.¬) the connection next door to try and finish the hunt, but right now it's just a choice between slow and slower. So between that and work (which never ends), I haven't a lot of time to blog. I'm really sorry! I'm still here! I still luff yoos! I have tons of things to blog & promise to post soon! Everybody loves cupcakes... and Sanu!

And those that don't get beaten up by me. So last night, (well, 9am SL time) there was a party at Sanu! It was lots of fun, but it was an impromptu party and didn't last long on account of Sanu being up very late. It was great though! Now I'm admittedly biased, but I love Sanu. She's incredibly generous, has gorgeous and quirky stuff for sale, and does competitions often, which I seem prone to winning! Oh my gosh! I nabbed one of her gorgeous Winkle sets, after answering a quiz question correctly and I'm so flabbergasted and happy! The only thing is that now I'm going to have to buy December Larkham's 'Perry' set, that inspired Sanu's 'Winkle' sets. And once I get that, think I'm going to have to get the pink Winkle set too. =X (I'm going to have to wait till a sale on account of being flat broke though)! See what you started, Sanura? I'm so greatful! I didn't even realise what the prize was that until halfway through the party when I looked at what she gave me. Before I go, does anyone know of any cute sims to hang out at and take photos? Like the one featured below (and in my top pic): Victoriana. It's an adorable Victorian Themed sim and the residents are very nice, with the setting extremely well made. I need more places like that; neutral places that aren't affiliated with a particular store or anything; just places to hang out, cute cafe's cute bars, rp sims that allow spectators. The problem with most 'hangouts' is usually they aren't that great looking, or they're a zyngo place in disguise and when you tp there it's wall to wall advertisments and those money chairs-- or alternatively they're really cheap looking and not well made. Usually I make do with cute areas near the store I'm featuring in my post, but I can't really do that if the sim is packed (like when there's a sale) and some places just don't suit. So, let me know, peeps! Mwah!

Sweet Lolita Style

I found a really cute store today with an abundance of sweet lolita type clothing. It's called Likka*House, and inside I found a really cute green gingham apron dress. Isn't it sweet? It's only 20 minutes on the camp-chair, and would have been perfect for St Patrick's Day, if only I had noticed it sooner.

Not only that, I stumbled across a new hair store called ::Liriope:: yesterday. It seems that it has a bunch of opening gift hair out in its main store! It's two hair-styles, and around three or four available colors! It's really cute, too!

A little more sweet charity...

*YAWN* I'm tired. It took me all day to explore the 8 clothing sims that the SL Clothing Fair has set up. It was great fun though, but thanks to that, and something like 14 combined hours of work, I am completely knackered and haven't had time to blog, so my clothing fair post took forever, and I apologise profusely. Anyways, excuses excuses and all that... there was hundreds of charity items on offer at the fair, but my favourite of them all was the stuff elDee had up! This store was new to me, and I can't believe I never noticed it before! The fair still has hundreds of things on show (including dollarbies and freebies) so check it out! It goes to the 22nd, so you still have a bit of time.

Not only that, but Romi Skin has another group gift out, this time it's Romi Skin 9 -- however the group is closed for the time being. It looks like she closes the group with each skin she gives out, so I would join once it gets re-opened. It's freckley goodness! It's really cute-- only thing is that on me, it makes my eyes look teeny-tiny, so I had to wear my lashes with it -- actual skin is sans lashes. Go check it out! Relay For Life

Hello all. I know I haven't posted very often, but I'm not in Second Life as much as Dunneh. I trust you're all well, and that you like the new layout we put together. First of all, if you haven't heard of Relay For Life: SL Clothing Fair you've probably been hiding under a rock. It's a charity event that benefits the American Cancer Foundation, and it has been a big deal in Second Life for a few years now. It's amazing how much the fair has grown from it's humble beginings, and this year the attentance is amazing. I had the chance to wander to the 'isles' (literally, they are islands) and take a gander at my favorite booths; there are a ton of designers, a ton of people, and a ton of lag. I hope you go low-ARC for a good cause; we're all trying to buy the lovely charity items on offer, and being 1000+ prims makes things difficult for all. So make sure you detach all for the clothing fair. You can check your ARC (Avatar Render Count) by bringing up; advanced options > rendering > info displays > avatar rendor cost Also, The best time to go to the fair-- if you're a night owl like me, is between midnight to 5am SL time. You'll find it less laggy then, so don't be discouraged.

I realize that this post is neither free nor cheap; yet I think we all know someone who have had their lives impaced by cancer, a relative, a friend, ourselves... even our pets. So, if this includes you, I implore you to dig deep for Relay for Life whether in world or out of world. Remember that 300L is barely a dollar. Luckily the amazing designers of Second Life have made it very easy to spend money this week. Here is one thing I picked up, though I have every intention of getting some more. Have fun!

Although in Australia, St. Paddy's day is already over. Again, a quickie, but at least I took the time to take in world pics this time! And it took a lot of time. My SL client is being a complete beyatch today. So I took about a dozen great (in my mind) shots of all the clothes I had put together today; and when I went to resize and whatnot, I noticed that most of them were glitchy and unusable! I only had a couple of photos that were usable. The rest were glitchy, blank (plain black all over) or black sky with random floating polygons. Grr. I tried taking more but I was having the same glitches, and I threw in the towel. As a result, these pics aren't the best. So I do apologise in advance! ANYWAYS.

Cute & Inexpensive!

Cute & Inexpensive are up there as my two favourite combos! So, I stumbled across a store today called *Mauloa Island* that fulfills both those criteria! Now, It's not the haute couture capital of fashion, but it's cheap and a really cute store with some nice things to be had. Inside you'll find inexpensive furniture, hair, and clothing. There's two lucky boards, and freebies/dollarbies tucked away in the corners of the store. I don't think I can even blog them all! But I'll try!

Before that though-- run down to Pudge! Quick! Turns out that they are discontinuing some of their old styles, at 75L per color pack. You can find them at their Starlust @ Floyd location, and keep in mind that the discontinued styles are just outside the store, at the drive through panels right of the entrance. That's not all though! They have a mini-sale going on on selected styles inside the store, namely Do Me Seymour, Piggy Moffit, Foolish Heiress, Maude the Mod -- they're all $125 until tomorrow, Friday the 13th (I hope till the end of the day because I only got the notice now!) Heya Naffers, I'm so sorry about my lack of updates! Here I am finally settled in the new layout. It's not been easy and this is primarily why I've taken so long. But the boring stuff about that can wait till after the pretty pretty pics! Just a quickie today, I'm afraid!

I know, I know, I blogged about Sanu last time. But she's sweet and incredibly generous. I do recommend you join her group if you like jewelery, candy and other quirky things. It's more than worth it. She also does fun competitions that are great to enter. Like the lollipop one she did recently! It was to take a creative pic using the fuchsia lollipop she set down in her store. Long story short, I was one of the three winners! That was my winning entry above. I'm so happy! Thank you Sanu! I really really really wanted to win as I have such a thing for candy in SL (well in RL too). Keep in mind, my theme for my entry was 'inside Dunneh's dreams' -- and I'd love nothing more than to slurp on a yummy giant lollipop! The actual lollipops are mouth-sized.

It was so much fun taking that pic, but I did get some odd reactions.. my brother said it looked kinda rude. Err, okay. Here's another pretty pic to distract you before I go back to talking about ~~myself~~ the blog.

And back to the boring stuff...

I noticed that my old blog template was broken (misaligned) in IE7. Even though I'm on Vista, I prefer to use Firefox, so I hadn't noticed... however the perfectionist in me just couldn't settle on that template knowing it was like that. When Raven said she found another blog using the same butterfly template, that pretty much made my decision for me-- and... countless hours looking for a layout later, as well as countless hours fixing the layout, here I am!

So that's why I haven't posted for a while. It's been like pulling teeth-- I got the layout all prepped and ready to go on a test blog-- only to have blogger reject it when I went to install. I tried every fix imaginable, re-coding, re-naming widget numbers bla bla bla. Nothing worked. I couldn't bear starting from square one and finding a different layout after deciding on this one-- so I remade NAF-Blog by making a new blog, changing the URL of the old one and giving it to this one. Hence, the url and the posts got imported over, so nothing has changed really. I just lost my followers is all. *sob* ... ... it's so lonely...!

Anyway, It's midnight here and I'm coming down with something, so I'm off to sleep. But I appreciate everyone who still reads my blog and I promise I'll come up with a new detailed post soon. I love you guys, I hope you like the new layout!

So guess what? I helped name icecreams for Sanu's icecream competition-- and Sanu picked one of my suggestions! I was so excited when I found out! Until I noticed that I did a little boo boo... -_- because the name I suggested 'Peachy Keen' had been already suggested by the lovely Elliandra Parx. Unfortunately, I didn't read the entries prior to posting my own, and I didn't even notice. I'm really sorry about that Elliandra! So, for the record, she thought of it first, though Sanura was generous enough to give us both the prizes. Thanks Sanu!

... and because I'm a sucker for free icecream, I accepted the gift. I couldn't help it! I absolutely loooove icecream! Besides. I figured it'd be a good thing to blog! I'm kinda sad that my favourite suggestion-- for the green and white icream-- didn't win, though. 'Matcha Ado About Nothing', bwa ha ha! It cracks me up! (I guess only me though... ah well).

So today I noticed a cute lil Japanese store called **Sister Strawberry** -- isn't that name cute? The store is even cuter! It has a few freebies scattered about inside, and the stuff is cute and inexpensive. While I was there, I won the cute purple ensemble from the Lucky Board, and nabbed the freebies on the floor. Furniture lovers take note; it also has some cute inexpensive furniture inside, some for $1L. Very cute indeed! But enough babbling, on to the stuffies!

You know you've 'made it' when...

...You get a few of lovely blogs linking you, some followers, ! and a designer asking you to blog something of theirs. (Even though you've never heard of them before, and get the feeling the notecard they sent you was sent to every blogger out there and they probably have never actually read your blog).

...And by 'made it' I mean you know you're 'slightly above mediocrity' Which suits me fine! So this is an exciting time for me. However, it does bring me to my policy on sending me stuff, which I just added in my my Not So FAQ. Just as a point, designers, if you're asking bloggers to blog your items, actually sending them the items might work better than sending them a link to a lucky board they have to wait for. But that's just my opinion. Needless to say, the item (a tattoo) doesn't really suit Dunneh, so it's going to be missed out. Sorry. =X (Though it was very nice from what I could see).

So anyway, I've been meaning to do this for the longest time! Kuri*Style! Everyone has seen the new stuff kuri Karas has out lately. It's been featured all over the place! But stick around in there and you'll realise her store is a treasure trove of stuff! Lano Ling is my God!

The title says it all. Lano Ling from Kusshon has a new set of freebie eyes out! I LOVE the poetic eyes series. This one is from his new light shadowed bright eye series. I would recommend you pick up a pair of eyes one day, maybe as a treat; they are a bit steep, ($200L) but they are well worth that. They are simply stunning. The freebie is out for a limited time, so get it, get it quick!

I've paired it here with Magika's new discounted hair! Yes, that's right, Magika has reduced some old hair models to $10L per color pack and $60L per fat pack. I'm super stoked because this time around she reduced two of my favourite styles; Lil Punk and Lime! Raven and I have already swept it all up. Be quick, as with the other discounted hair packs, they are for a limited time.

Hello fearless readers! (All two of you!) Dunneh here, with another awesome post! Okay, so I officially have a crush on Ding Fotherington and I don't care if it's wrong, cuz it feels so right! Dah dah dah~ ♪

Erm, okay... So anyway, onto the goodies. First off, I haven't seen this blogged often (or at all), which is weird, because it's an amazing set. It's a Newbie Assistance Pack-- and is one of three newbie packs Peppermint Blue has out. Two for girls, and one for boys. One has an amazing hoodie, and the other is a cute babydoll set (not blogged). You actually get an entire avatar-- including skins and shapes (not shown)-- yes, even the handbags! The only thing you don't get is the hair in the pictures (my pics or their pics). And keep in mind, I'm not wearing the skins boxed in with the Peppermint Blue set, though. Don't miss out! So 50Flats has made some new flowered flats available at their (temporary loc) 50Flats store. They also set up a Gatchapon machine! I love Gatchapons, especially when the prizes are as good as this one, and I was squeeing with delight when I got the pair I really wanted, the Cherry Flats! I love them to bits, and $35L is more than reasonable for them in my opinion. It took a bit of time, (and Ding's help) for me to get them on though! Stupidly, when the touch script bugged out, I didn't even think to right-click open it to get my flats out. ~.~ Anyways, thank you Ding for being patient with me. I really appreciate it!

Everyone has to get this cute skin from Beauty Avatar -- I know it's been blogged all over the place, but it's really amazing. Here's a close up of the face, and also, the ring and bracelet that you see in the pic are also part of that Peppermint Blue hoodie set I blogged above. Now you see how amazing it is!?

The Laughing Academy Sale

I haven't posted very often, I'm not online as much as Dunneh, and I'm very particular about what I pick up. However, I do have a soft spot for gowns, and the Freebie Telegraph tipped me off to a moving sale at the Laughing Academy. This is a lovely store with a multitude of period gowns. The sale is random, so the items are set at anything between 25-100L, and changing every day. There are some bargains to be had there, such as the gown I picked up today:

Icecream On Mah Head!

So, Sanu is awesome right? Right. And as usual, she just lavishes the freebies on us. Her fridge died, (RIP Sanu's fridge), and so she's released another melty icecream group gift to commemerate this occasion! This time it's yummy choccy icecream, yay! Furthermore, we get lovely sun earrings because Sanu got hot walking in the sun the other day! Yay! (Well, kind of yay. Yay for the earrings, not that she got hot.) Best of all, the group fee is gone... Sanu has a new system whereby she closes the group when there's special freebies out. Don't despair though, anybody can invite people into the group! So if you want an icecream on your head, you can let me know, and I'll invite you into Sanu's group! I recommend you stay there and not freebie hop because Sanu is extremely generous and it's totally worth being in her group.

And it's big-- 200L, though I think it's worth it if you like the cute stylings of the four stores involved. I'm actually drained of money thanks to this group, now. So this months group gift entails the smiley ring you see above, on my hand. It also contains orange prim nails, and smiley flower earrings (not shown). Very cute.

Back to Sanu! She just released a gummi monocle and choker set, on her lucky chair. I'd show it on me, but my letter got snatched while I was blogging this... oh well. Down low too slow and all that!

Okay so Ding and Vent are now my two favourite people in Second Life EVAR! I tp'd over to Ding's temporary location, where she has set up some of her poses and most of her new flats! Yep! So I'm still recovering after Violet Voltaire's awesome party last night!

Was that fun or what? I'm so glad I came. It was my first one of the year. It was great to meet everybody and make new friends. And it was great to find kindred souls--warped like me! Bwahahaha! I was windowed and on low graphics, so the pics didn't come out great, which is a shame, but some highlights from the night were: Vivi's drunken AO (EW), the avvie contest, A plastered singing bunneh boy, sexy moves by my dancing buddy ChaCha (!), and heckling by me. XD It was great! Oh and let's not forget the DJ-- great music and an adorable voice-- but he's taken, girls. If Vi has another party, you should come down. Tons of great designers poked their heads in so it was a good chance to ~~suck up~~ meet them!

Rahz, Little Heaven

I ammended my bottom post with a list of vendors who have charity items out-- so check it out and buy something today. Let me just say that I am flabbergasted at the number of people offering items. What a lovely response from Second Life creators, designers, and consumers. It makes me very glad to be an SL citizen. I haven't had an opportunity to check them all out, yet, but I will-- and I hope to get some more items soon.

Something I did have time to check out the other day; Rahz Store is having a sale! From now until Feb 21st, everything in the store is only 10L! Wow! Bargains galore! Rahz has some very nice stuff, don't forget to check the top floor! Be aware that the items are no copy, though, but they are transfer! I bought bought bought, and anything that didn't suit me, I gave away!

Onto Little Heaven! Somehow, I haven't seen this hair featured very often on blogs yet, and I don't know why! It's faboo! I luurve it! I'm not a big fan of the big fuzzy type of hair but LH outdid themselves with this one. Pick it up from a camp chair in the hair area.

It was originally planned to be a bargain-hunt blog full of freebies but I nixed that for two reasons; firstly, I haven't actually got the time to hunt bargains for myself-- I rely on freebie blogs to do that for me, and secondly, I want to feature things that freebie blogs don't-- namely pay-for stuff, including what bargains are going: sales, offers, events, etc.

Introductions can wait, though. It's with great sadness that my first post goes out, as, being Australian, the inescapable horror of the bush-fires in Northern Victoria have been gracing our TV screens non stop. My heart goes out to the hurt and homeless, and my condolences to those who have lost loved ones. My faith in humanity has plummeted knowing that the fires are suspected arson.

However, my heart was gladdened this morning when I saw that two of my favourite SL designers, Evie's Closet and Lazy Places, were offering charity pieces of their clothing and shoes, with all proceeds going to the Australian Red Cross. I didn't need to be told twice! I've been eyeing the booties for a while, and I just needed an excuse to get some-- and this is the best reason of all, in my opinion. A heartfelt thank you to Evie and Lazy Places, for offering their items. Dunneh isn't really a gown person, though, but the gown is stunning, and definitely deserves to be featured for those interested. 100% of the proceeds go to the Australian Red Cross

Secondly, our friends at Lazy Places have put out their most popular boots for the same cause. There are two styles of each, white with red trim/buckles etc, (not pictured) and white with teeny red-heart dangles (pictured).

As I was writing this post, I got another few annoucements regarding charity items designers are putting on sale, with the proceeds heading towards the Red Cross. This warms my heart. I haven't got time to feature them yet with pictures-- (this post took most of my day), but I will mention them:

Firstly-- LAP -- has a cloud pose prop with a rainbow and various animations (I couldn't find it to try it yet, but Dove says there's a demo version on a platform in the air)- $L500

And secondly-- TRUTH -- is offering a limited edition charity hairstyle with individual colors at $L300 and the fatpack at $L1500.

Lastly, if you wish to simply donate, without buying a featured charity item, you're free to do so-- all the places mentioned above also have donation boards set up for the purpose of donating as little or as much as you want. Secondly, I hear the users Autumn Hykova and Dakota Buck have set up an avatar specifically to manage the charity donations, called; 'Victoria Farshore' -- Of course, there is always the Australian Red Cross website if you wish to donate online directly to the source, or alternatively, The Salvation Army Australia who also do good work here in Australia.

Before I go, let us not forget our friends in Queensland who have been hit hard by flooding, and many of them are in dire situations as well.
